New Blog Layout! Again!

For lack of better things to do, I finally finished the other layout I was working on. The floral one was a hasty/temporary one plus it looked too much like Xiaxue's on hindsight (her blog is too amazing for comparison hahaha!)

I'm actually torn between Mode and Sweet/Casual style Gyaru all the time. Mode is more applicable if you have a corporate job like when I did Marketing and PR for a cosmetics brand. I can't seem to let go of the dolly/cutesy look though! Oh well! I must eventually evolve to pure Mode since it is the go-to look for older gals hehehe!

Gyaru Philippines - Some things to consider

Gyaru fashion and makeup has long been popular and accepted in most parts of Asia and in some parts around the world. In the Philippines however, it is still not AS popular and can often be mistaken as a form of Cosplay (much to my chagrin) or confused with Ulzzang. Aside from their country of origin, Gyaru and Ulzzang are two completely different styles.

THIS is what I normally look like without the circle lenses, false eyelashes, wig and dolly Gyaru makeup. I guess you can call this my Sorta-Ulzzang-lazy-as-fuck-I-don't-feel-like-doing-Gyaru-makeup-today-look hahaha! (Are my eyebrows straight and arch-less enough? ) As you can see, my roots have grown to epic proportions but I am laying off the bleach for about 2 months before I subject my hair and scalp again to some peroxide torture. Expect to see me wearing my wig more often! lol

I decided to make some changes to my blog design. I wanted a 3 column template so the old header had to go since it wasn't wide enough and it didn't match the girly floral background I hastily chose.

Sonya's Garden Valentines 2013

It's been ages since I felt like I have a real boyfriend. We've been in a sorta long distance relationship ever since I stopped working. I've been living far off like a recluse and he's always too busy with work/triathlon training. It has been a pretty tough couple of months to be honest, I felt so miserable and cranky last Feb 14 after seeing photos of friends with roses, chocolates and their dates while I was home alone watching old black and white films. Thank God for awesome girlfriends to commiserate with!

I should probably warn you that this is a photo heavy post of me showing off my new hair color! I am so happy with how it turned out! It looks a bit warm in these photos but it is actually a medium ash color/milk tea blonde shade.

During my last salon visit (2 weeks ago) the stylist got carried away and cut my hair shorter than intended. After months of patiently growing my hair out- I am back to square 1! There's not a lot of styling options to choose from with this kind of cut.

THE MOVIE STARTED ALREADY AND THERE'S A FUCKING LONG LINE OUTSIDE THE CINEMA AND NOW THEY FUCKING EXPECT YOU TO WATCH THE MOVIE STANDING UP? WHAT THE HELL!(#&$$^@^!/!!!!!
