My Picoway Experience
My face is cleansed thoroughly before treatment. Dr. Joan Clarence- Morallo checks my skin and discusses the treatment with me: what to expect, what it does and what makes it different from Revlite. My eyes are covered with protective goggles and the treatment begins. The laser feels like something is strongly tapping against my skin. You will also hear a tapping noise once it begins. It feels definitely more comfortable than Revlite. With Revlite it feels like there are rubber bands snapping against your skin and sometimes it does hurt a bit (bearable but uncomfortable). With Picoway, I experienced no pain or discomfort.
1st treatment July 8
I experienced mild purging after my first treatment. Dra Joan advised me that this sometimes happens and it's recommended to get your skin professionally cleaned if you have any blackheads/trapped sebum before doing this. To be honest I haven't been to the dermatologist months prior to this due to my busy work schedule. The breakouts subsided after a week.
2nd treatment Aug 11
I didn't get any breakouts after the 2nd treatment and I can definitely see and feel the improvement now. My skin feels smoother and my pores feel tighter/smaller. I have pigmentation on the sides of my mouth and that has lightened considerably too. My burn scar from my horrendous laser experience at Skinhouse looks less obvious also. I'm not sure if its the weather or from the treatment but I experienced slight micro peeling on the sides of my face. Nothing obvious really.

I'm pretty happy and confident with my bare skin. I've been having minor breakouts since this photo was taken since I just got my period.
